Tunis: The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Haddad, has engaged in discussions with the Director General of the Tunisian Defense Intelligence and Security Agency and the Chiefs of Staff of the three branches of the Tunisian military. The discussions focused on exploring avenues for joint cooperation between Libya and Tunisia, in alignment with existing agreements across various domains.
According to Libyan News Agency, this initiative unfolded during Al-Haddad’s official visit to Tunisia over the past two days. During his visit, Al-Haddad was welcomed by prominent Tunisian military leaders, including Lieutenant General Al-Habib Al-Daif, Director General of the Tunisian Defense Intelligence and Security Agency; Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Ghoul, Chief of Staff of the Tunisian Land Army; and Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Hajjam, Chief of Staff of the Tunisian Air Force. Additionally, the Libyan and Tunisian military attach©s were present to reinforce the collaborative dialogue.
The media office of the Chief of Staff reported that Al-Haddad met with Tunisian Minister of Defense Khaled Al-Sahili at the Tunisian Ministry of Defense headquarters. During this meeting, they exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and assessed the progress of bilateral cooperation efforts. They also emphasized the importance of the ongoing initiatives to maintain and strengthen the historical ties and bilateral relations between the two nations.
As part of the visit, Al-Haddad and his delegation toured the Central Museum of the Tunisian Army. This visit included a comprehensive tour of the museum’s exhibits, where they learned about the significant phases of the Tunisian struggle.
