Tripoli: Taher Al-Baour, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, met today in Tripoli with Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and her accompanying delegation to discuss maritime border demarcation and the development of cooperation in the economic, energy, and development sectors.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and exploring opportunities to expand partnerships in areas of mutual interest. They reviewed the work of the joint Libyan-Greek technical committee for maritime border demarcation and emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue in accordance with international law principles.
The discussions also included following up on bilateral cooperation files aimed at reinforcing the partnership between Libya and Greece. Both sides exchanged views on regional and international developments, agreeing to continue consultations to serve their common interests and support stability in the region.
At the meeting's conclusion, Al-Baour and Papadopoulou reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing coordination, with the goal of enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering prosperity for both nations.
