Air Ambulance Service Initiates First International Helicopter Medical Flight

Tripoli: The Air Ambulance Service has successfully carried out its inaugural international medical flight using helicopters, marking a significant achievement in its operational capabilities and response efficiency for critical medical cases.

According to Libyan News Agency, the service announced the completion of its first international air ambulance mission, which involved transporting a critically ill patient from Mitiga International Airport to Sfax-Thyna Airport in Tunisia. This operation adhered strictly to aviation safety standards and medical protocols, under the guidance of a specialized medical and aircrew team. The mission was supported by the Operations Department alongside technical and engineering teams.

The Air Ambulance Service highlighted that this milestone demonstrates its capacity to handle complex missions both within the country and internationally. It underscores the organized teamwork among its departments, which ensures the provision of a rapid, safe, and efficient air ambulance service, where timely intervention is crucial for saving lives.
