Egyptian Premier League champions, Ahly, will be receiving their league trophy on Wednesday19/7/2023 in a postponed game against Harras El-Hodoud at Cairo stadium.

The decision to give Ahly the trophy after the game was made by the Premier League, marking the Red Devils’ return to the top spot after a two-year absence.

Ahly, who are also the African champions, hope to celebrate their title in style against the relegated side Harras El-Hodoud who are unlikely to pose any problems for the Red Devils.

After securing the league title last week, Ahly thrashed archrivals Zamalek and Arab Contractors, both with a score of 4-1.

However, Ahly is hoping to maintain their winning momentum as they aim to break some records after a highly successful season that saw them clinch two Egyptian Super Cup titles, the Egypt Cup, the CAF Champions League, and the domestic league.

If they manage to win their remaining three games, Ahly will break their record of 89 points gained in one season in 2020.

They also want to break the record for the number of goals scored in one season by scoring 14 more goals to beat their 2018 record of 75 goals.

The Ahly coach plans to field his full squad for the game to give his players the chance to celebrate their wonderful season.

After Wednesday’s clash, Ahly will face Pyramids FC on Sunday before ending their League campaign against Masry next Wednesday.
