Tripoli: The Administrative Control Authority recently held a crucial meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority to address the challenges hindering the implementation of airport maintenance and development projects. Abdullah Qaderbouh, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, and Mohamed Shlebak, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, led the discussions.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on identifying the technical and logistical obstacles affecting the progress of these projects. A significant portion of the discussion also centered on the procedures for granting flight licenses to both public and private carriers. The goal was to ensure equal opportunity in obtaining flight licenses for operations within the country and internationally.
Ensuring compliance with the highest international safety and quality standards was a priority during the meeting. Both authorities emphasized the importance of removing any barriers to ensure the seamless flow of operations. The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority highlighted the necessity of adhering to current legislation to perform the Authority’s duties effectively. He also underscored the importance of enhancing inter-agency coordination to achieve the desired quality and strictly following security and technical requirements to maintain operational efficiency.
