Washington Denies Existence of Travel Ban List for Certain Countries

Washington: In a recent statement, the United States has refuted claims about a supposed list of countries whose citizens are banned from entering the country. US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce clarified, “there is no list of countries whose citizens are restricted or barred from entering the United States.”

According to Libyan News Agency, a White House official disclosed to Fox News Digital that discussions about a potential travel ban on over 40 countries, including Russia and Belarus, have not resulted in any concrete decisions. The official emphasized that no such travel restrictions are currently in place.

Press reports had previously suggested that citizens from 11 countries-namely Afghanistan, Iran, Cuba, Bhutan, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Venezuela, and Yemen-might be prohibited from entering the United States under a proposed plan. These nations were reportedly to be designated as “Red” in a proposed color-coded system, indicating they would face the strictest travel restrictions. However, these reports have been officially denied by the State Department.
