UNA”, “SPUTNIK” ORGANIZE TRAINING COURSE ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND VIDEO PRODUCTION

The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) will organize a virtual training course entitled “How AI has Changed Video Production” on April 22, 2024, in collaboration with Sputnik news agency.

The course, held for the benefit of journalists in OIC member states, aims to review the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on video production, explore the strengths and weaknesses of AI in visual content production, as well as discuss the possibility of employing AI applications to enhance journalists’ productivity and improve their performance, and consider aspects related to the risks of deepfakes and their impact on media misinformation.

The training course will be presented by Igor Arkhipov, Head of the AI project at Sputnik news agency and radio broadcaster.

UNA Director-General, Mr. Mohammed Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, clarified that the course comes within the framework of cooperation between “UNA” and “Sputnik” and their efforts to raise awareness of technological transformations in the media space and outlin
e the general guidelines for leveraging artificial intelligence in media work.
