Al-Menfi Engages in Talks with Mauritanian Foreign Minister to Bolster Bilateral Ties

Tripoli: President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al-Menfi met yesterday evening with the Mauritanian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, who was visiting as a special envoy of Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani. The meeting marked a significant step in discussions aimed at enhancing the partnership between Libya and Mauritania.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council's communication office revealed that the Mauritanian minister delivered a written message from President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani to Al-Menfi. The discussions focused on exploring avenues for developing bilateral cooperation and strengthening the partnership between the two nations in a manner that serves their common interests and fulfills their aspirations for greater integration and cooperation.

During the meeting, Al-Menfi reiterated Libya's commitment to fostering cooperative relations with Mauritania and advancing them towards broader horizons. This commitment reflects the historical and fraternal ties that unite the two countries and aims to enhance opportunities for cooperation and integration.
