U.S. Embassy Welcomes New Energy Partnerships in Libya

Tripoli: The U.S. Embassy in Libya has expressed its approval of the National Oil Corporation's (NOC) recent developments involving major American oil companies. In a recent tweet, the embassy underscored the significance of the NOC's announcement about expanding the Waha Consortium partnership with ConocoPhillips, highlighting it as a key example of the growing collaboration between the United States and Libya. According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy also welcomed the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the NOC and Chevron. This agreement is set to facilitate Chevron's re-entry into Libya, marking an important milestone in the energy sector for the country. The embassy further emphasized the critical role of U.S. expertise and technology in aiding Libya to harness its energy potential and contribute to the nation's long-term economic stability.
