Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Major General Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Accord, in Ankara to discuss strengthening cooperation in military fields.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Libya and Turkey in military and defense sectors. Discussions included developing training and capacity-building programs and improving coordination between relevant authorities in both countries.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense outlined the Ministry's vision for military and security cooperation, highlighting priorities for the coming phase and the process of unifying and building the military institution. The two officials also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest and developments related to security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of continued consultation and coordination to serve the common interests of both countries, as noted by the government's media office.
