Tripoli: Turkey called on the Libyan parties on Wednesday to ensure a complete ceasefire and engage in dialogue to resolve differences, following clashes that erupted in various areas of the capital, Tripoli, at dawn today between the forces of the 444th Combat Brigade and the Special Deterrence Force.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated it is closely monitoring the military tension between the armed groups in Tripoli. The ministry called on the Libyan parties to ensure a complete, permanent, and immediate ceasefire and to engage in dialogue to resolve their differences.
The statement from Turkey affirmed its readiness to play a role in ensuring a permanent and sustainable solution to the conflict in Tripoli.
