Geneva, The Military Committee (5 + 5) concluded its meetings in Geneva this Friday afternoon and issued a final statement in which it announced that it had completed the preparation of an action plan to remove mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya in a (gradual, simultaneous and balanced) manner.

The committee’s final statement stated that “the readiness of local and international monitoring of the ceasefire agreement is necessary before starting the implementation of the plan to remove mercenaries and foreign fighters, and the committee will communicate with the concerned parties locally and internationally, to support the implementation of the plan and respect for Libyan sovereignty.”

It should be noted that the United Nations Envoy for Support in Libya General Ian Kubis, in his opening speech to the meetings of the Joint Military Committee in Geneva the day before yesterday, Wednesday, expressed his optimism that this meeting would reach a positive result, as he said: (The agreement on an action plan sends a signal of hope to the people of Libya that things can move, including towards elections).
