Jeddah: The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, and his accompanying delegation participated this morning in the 69th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting included heads and representatives of supreme audit institutions from member states, who discussed various reports and topics on the agenda. Key discussions covered the Executive Council Chairman’s report on the organization’s activities and the follow-up on the implementation of work programs and the strategic plan. Additionally, the General Secretariat’s report and the reports of the main committees, including the Professional Standards Committee, the Committee on Monitoring Sustainable Development Goals, the Committee on Monitoring Information Technology, and the Committee on Institutional Capacity Building, were reviewed.
The meeting further examined reports from member institutions regarding their participation in the committees and working groups of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). The Executive Council of ARABOSAI plays a crucial role in monitoring the implementation of the strategic plan, supporting specialized committees, making executive decisions, and approving policy proposals and initiatives before their submission to the General Assembly.
