Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has called for an immediate cessation of the ongoing Zionist attacks on Gaza and other Palestinian territories. The Ministry has urged the international community and the Security Council to take full responsibility for protecting the Palestinian people and to hold accountable those responsible for what it describes as genocide.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry issued this statement on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which is observed annually on November 29th. The statement emphasized that Palestinians have endured two years of crimes and massacres by the Zionist occupation, involving various forms of weaponry, starvation, displacement, and the destruction of essential aspects of life.

The Ministry’s statement also called for an end to all Zionist aggressions in Gaza and other Palestinian territories. It demanded the lifting of the siege on the Palestinian people and the facilitation of humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, the statement reaffirmed Libya’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people’s pursuit of self-determination, the liberation of their land, the restoration of their rights, the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of return for refugees.
