Shakshak and Issa Discuss Audit Bureau’s Observations on Central Bank Performance

Tripoli: The Head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Mr. Khaled Shakshak, held a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Mohammed Issa, to review the Audit Bureau's observations on the Central Bank's performance and examine key indicators and results.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Central Bank stated that this meeting, attended by department directors and specialists from both institutions, was part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and integrate roles between the two entities.

The discussion covered various aspects related to performance development and improving work mechanisms. This aligns with the bank's strategic objectives and aims to enhance its institutional efficiency. The meeting also addressed the Bureau's observations on approving financial statements for the years 2017-2024 and discussed the need to expedite their approval. Cooperation from the Central Bank of Libya's departments was highlighted as crucial in this regard.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of joint work to serve the public interest. It stressed ensuring smooth procedures, raising performance levels, fostering mutual trust between the institutions, and supporting efforts to achieve shared objectives.
