Security meeting in Diyala to confront the “Electricity War”

A meeting was held for representatives of security leaders in Baquba, the center of Diyala governorate, to discuss ways to confront the "electricity war" in light of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The meeting resulted in defining priorities, which are alertness in the vicinity of the main power lines, adopting ambushes in remote areas, and cooperating with the people to monitor any negative cases, in addition to completing investigations into yesterday's targeting and revealing the identity of the perpetrators and bring them to justice."

He added, "A joint security force launched a combing operation in the vicinity of the Abu Basal area within the borders of the Bani Saad district, southwest of Baquba, to secure the transmission towers of electric power coming from Baghdad towards Diyala, after they were targeted yesterday evening."
