Security Council Resolutions on Libya Discussed in Tripoli Meeting

Tripoli: The team monitoring the implementation of Security Council resolutions on Libya held its second meeting at the House of Representatives headquarters in Tripoli. The gathering focused on the procedural and technical requirements crucial for implementing UN Security Council resolutions related to the country.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures, including House of Representatives members Youssef Al-Aqouri and Omar Tantoush, Abdullah Qaderbouh, head of the Administrative Control Authority, and Murad Hamima, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Also present was the UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Reynolds.

The participants discussed various issues concerning the general financial situation, management of Libyan assets and investments abroad, and institutional coordination mechanisms among relevant national bodies. They also explored the necessary procedural requirements for implementing Security Council resolutions and aligning them with national legislation and the legal mandates of Libyan institutions.

This meeting follows a prior gathering held at the Administrative Control Authority headquarters, part of the efforts of a team formed by House of Representatives Resolution No. (113) of 2025. This team is tasked with monitoring Libya's financial situation and its investments abroad, ensuring compliance with relevant Security Council resolutions.
