Tripoli: Minister of Transportation and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya, Guven Begi§, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed the follow-up on the minutes of the meetings of the Libyan-Turkish Joint Committee. Discussions included mechanisms for the return of Turkish companies and the resumption of their contribution to reconstruction and development projects in various Libyan regions.
The meeting also focused on ways to increase the number of flights to Libyan airports and facilitate the operation of direct flights between Turkish Airlines and Sabha International Airport. This initiative aims to support air transport and enhance regional connectivity.
Both parties agreed to continue joint coordination that serves mutual interests and supports development and stability efforts in Libya.
