Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has pledged the government’s support for national artistic endeavors that elevate Iraq’s cultural presence on the world stage. This commitment was made during a meeting with young Iraqi director Hassan Ali Hadi, whose film “The President’s Cake” recently garnered international acclaim by winning the Camera d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and the Audience Award in the Directors’ Fortnight section.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Prime Minister al-Sudani congratulated Hadi on this significant achievement, lauding the film’s success and the recognition it received from international critics and distribution companies. He emphasized that the film’s accomplishments mark a pivotal advancement for Iraqi cinema.
