Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) Tarek el Hobi discussed on Saturday 15/07/2023 with Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development Ghada Labib the achievements made and future action plans in joint cooperation projects between the Authority and the Ministry in digital institutional development, in addition to promoting digital transformation efforts in the Authority.
In a statement, the Authority said that the meeting probed the Ministry's tireless efforts in developing and building digital capabilities of the NFSA's employees to apply digital transformation tools and notions as well as the application of Artificial Intelligence technologies in food safety system management in the country.
Hobi said as many as 500 workers in the Authority were well trained in order to hone their skills in using IT solutions and digital transition applications.
In turn, Labib said that the coming period will witness further fruitful cooperation between the Ministry and the Authority.
She added the Ministry is ready to offer all necessary programs to raise the efficiency and hone the skills of the Authority's inspectors.
Such reciprocal cooperation will mainly contribute to achieving digital and developmental goals in the Authority through the fulfillment of its digital institutional development plan to attain sustainability of digital transformation operations, according to her.
