Minister of Housing Discusses Solutions for Slums and Infrastructure Development with Specialized Companies

Tripoli: The Minister of Housing and Construction in the Government of National Unity, Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, engaged in discussions with representatives of Arab Consulting Engineers (ACE) and Engineers Consulting Group (ECG) to explore cooperative efforts with the urban planning sector aimed at addressing issues related to slums and infrastructure challenges.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on how specialized companies can participate in implementing the national water and sanitation program. This includes addressing existing network issues and rehabilitating sewage stations in accordance with the latest international standards. The discussion also covered leveraging the expertise of companies specializing in road development to utilize modern technologies and machinery for re-paving, with the goal of improving network efficiency and reducing road-related problems.

Al-Ghawi emphasized the importance of utilizing the engineering expertise of major companies such as ACE and ECG in developing road paving materials and rehabilitating sewage stations. This collaboration is seen as crucial to supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals and enhancing infrastructure across various regions.
