Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed Friday evening that he will recognize the State of Palestine next Monday in New York. Macron stated that recognizing the State of Palestine is part of a comprehensive peace plan that guarantees security and peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Emmanuel Macron will deliver a speech to formally announce this recognition on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:00 PM in New York (9:00 PM Paris time), during the conference he will co-chair with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
In this context, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pascal Confavreux explained today that “this recognition does not mark the end of diplomatic efforts…It is not a symbolic gesture, but rather part of a broader and more realistic perspective,” as reported by “Russia Today.”
