Libyan Ministry of Defense Receives 21 Citizens Detained in Niger

Tripoli: The Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity has successfully repatriated 21 Libyan citizens who were previously detained in the Republic of Niger. The operation took place on Monday, with the individuals being transferred to Libyan territory and subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities for the completion of necessary legal and administrative procedures.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry emphasized that this operation was part of ongoing cooperation and joint coordination between Libya and Niger, fulfilling relevant bilateral arrangements. The Ministry expressed gratitude towards the authorities in Niger for their cooperation, which played a crucial role in the successful repatriation.

The Ministry of Defense reiterated its dedication to maintaining collaborative efforts with regional partners, aiming to benefit citizens and enhance bilateral cooperation between Libya and Niger.
