Abu dhabi: The Libyan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has officially denied reports about the suspension of tourist and work visas for Libyan citizens by UAE authorities.
According to Libyan News Agency, the embassy addressed the circulating claims found on social media and several news websites, labeling them as allegations without basis. The embassy stated that these reports suggest that the UAE plans to suspend visas for Libyans, along with citizens of eight other countries.
The embassy issued a clarification affirming that the information is false and has not been communicated by any official Emirati source. They assertively reject the claims and emphasize that they have not received any formal notifications or directives regarding visa suspensions from Emirati authorities. The embassy urged that the news being disseminated lacks support from credible Emirati government sources.
