Al-khums: The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, has commended the readiness and discipline of the Counter-Terrorism Force, acknowledging the significant progress achieved by the unit. During an inspection visit to the Counter-Terrorism Force headquarters in Al-Khums, Al-Haddad emphasized the necessity of ongoing training to address potential threats to vital targets and facilities within the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Haddad’s visit included a meeting with Major General Mohamed Mahmoud Al-Zein, Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Force, as well as several officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers from the Special Forces. The Chief of Staff highlighted the importance of maintaining physical fitness and operational efficiency to ensure that the Counter-Terrorism Force remains capable of executing specialized missions effectively, thereby safeguarding the nation and its citizens.
Al-Haddad was accompanied on his visit by Brigadier General Fawzi Dayr al-Lail from the Moral Guidance Department, Major General Hussein Abdullah from the Public Works Department, Major General Nouri Shanouq, Commander of the Training Department, and Major General Abdul Basit al-Sharaa, Director of the Loan Fund. The visit was part of Al-Haddad’s ongoing efforts to monitor combat readiness and enhance the field capabilities of the Special Forces.
