Electoral Commission Prepares for Upcoming Municipal Elections in Ubari

Ubari: The Electoral Commission is closely monitoring the final preparations for the voting phase in the upcoming municipal council elections in Ubari. This critical phase is part of the broader electoral process set for the municipal council elections in 2025.

According to Libyan News Agency, Abu Bakr Marda, a member of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), conducted a visit to the electoral administration office in Ubari on Thursday morning. This visit was part of the field monitoring for the third group of municipal council elections. During this visit, Abu Bakr Marda was accompanied by Ali Abu Salah, the head of the office, along with coordinators and several office staff members.

The focus of the meeting was to assess the readiness of the offices and committees as well as to ensure the completion of logistical and awareness-raising arrangements. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the training programs allocated to the electoral committees, aiming to ensure that the electoral process adheres to approved standards. The voting phase is scheduled for October 18, and the commission is working diligently to ensure everything is in place for a smooth and successful election process.
