Libyan Army Chief Discusses Enhancements to Pilot Training and Air College Support

Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, convened an extensive meeting with Brigadier General Pilot Mukhtar Osman, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, along with several specialized Air Force officers. The agenda focused on ways to bolster pilot support and enhance the operations of the Air Force Academy.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting evaluated the existing pilot training program at the Air Force Academy, emphasizing the various training stages-initial, basic, and advanced. Discussions centered on the duration and flight hours assigned to each stage to ensure pilots meet the established standards.

The procurement of necessary training aircraft for different training stages was also a key topic. This initiative aims to support the training process and improve the Air Force Academy's efficiency, as revealed by a statement from the General Staff of the Libyan Army on its official Facebook page.

Lieutenant General al-Namroush expressed his commitment to swiftly acquiring the required training aircraft and promptly activating the Air Force Academy. He highlighted the need to focus on new officers, enrolling them in specialized training courses to enhance their skills and effectively qualify them for service in the Air Force.
