Al-Alamein:GNU-Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, recently met with Ahmed Kougouri, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad. The two officials discussed enhancing the bilateral relations between Libya and Chad, as well as exploring ways to develop joint cooperation to benefit both nations during the Al-Alamein-Africa Forum.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions also covered several regional and international issues of mutual interest, with a focus on developments across the African continent. Both ministers highlighted the significance of sustained consultations and coordination within the African Union. They agreed on the need to align positions on priority issues at multilateral international forums.
The ministers underscored the critical role of continuous communication and coordination between relevant authorities in both countries. This approach aims to bolster cooperative relations and reinforce joint African initiatives.
The meeting was also attended by Libya's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Mohamed Adam Lino; Ambassador Mohamed Abdel Karim Hanno, Chad's Ambassador to Egypt; and Mohamed Issa Zakaria, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Al-Alamein-Africa Forum, where this meeting took place, will continue for three days, with participation from about 1,500 officials, decision-makers, business leaders, investors, representatives of financial institutions, and business-sector representatives from various African countries.
