Libya and Nicaragua agree on an amended version of the debt scheduling agreement due in favour of Libya

Tripoli- A meeting was held on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, between the Minister of Finance, Khaled Al Mabrouk, and Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nicaragua, during which an amended version of the debt scheduler agreement owed in favor of Libya to the Republic of Nicaragua was signed to ensure the recovery of the rest of the debt on a regular basis in equal semi-annual installments, the Ministry of Finance announced Friday.

The Ministry of Finance has reached an agreement with its counterpart in Montenegro on settling the balance of a loan due to Libya worth four million dollars to be paid before the end of 2022.
