Khouli Reaffirms UN Mission’s Commitment to Continue Working with Libyan Stakeholders to Complete Roadmap

Tripoli: UN Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury, discussed with members of the Consensus Bloc of the High Council of State the political, security, and economic challenges facing Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on the political, security, and economic challenges facing Libya, the importance of inclusive political participation, the unification of state institutions, and creating the appropriate conditions for credible national elections. During the meeting, Khoury reaffirmed the mission's commitment to continuing to work with all Libyan stakeholders to advance the political process and complete the remaining stages of the roadmap.

According to the mission, the meeting comes as part of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya's ongoing engagement with all Libyan parties regarding the agreement recently reached through the Mini-Meeting track.
