Italian Ambassador to Libya commends the progress in the reconstruction of Tripoli International Airport.

The Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, commended the encouraging progress in the reconstruction of Tripoli International Airport, which began last February and is expected to be completed in 2024.

This came during Buccino’s visit on Thursday, to the construction sites at the airport, whose reconstruction was entrusted to the Italian company “Consortium Enes”, according to the Italian Nova Agency.

The Italian Embassy affirmed that once completed, the airport will be able to serve more than 6.5 million passengers annually, which represents a bridge for Libya to the Mediterranean and the world.
