Iraq And France Sign An Agreement For Scientific, Cultural And Research Cooperation Between Higher Education Institutions

The Republics of Iraq and France signed an agreement for scientific, cultural and research cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in both countries.

The Ministry of Higher Education stated in a statement: “The agreement was signed by Minister Naeem Al-Aboudi and French government representative Eric Chevalier.”

The bilateral cooperation agreement is part of the partnership agreement signed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron on January 27, 2023.

It includes establishing partnerships and cooperation between institutions of higher education and scientific research in the two countries in the fields of science, engineering, environment, archaeology, heritage, law, and the French language, exchanging visits to academic institutions, participating in conferences, seminars, and joint research projects, exchanging scholarships, and developing programs for doctoral grants and scientific residencies.
