Baghdad: The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced the arrest of a number of drug dealers in Baghdad and Muthanna.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a statement that these arrests were made in separate operations based on accurate intelligence information.
The field detachments of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense successfully apprehended several individuals involved in drug dealing and promotion within the Baghdad and Muthanna governorates. Arrest warrants were issued against these individuals in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Narcotics Law. The detainees have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further action.
