Benghazi: The House of Representatives Presidency has officially invited its members to a crucial session set for August 18, where discussions will focus on the draft state budget law for 2025. This decision was made during a regular meeting held in Benghazi on Wednesday.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures, including First Deputy Speaker Fawzi al-Nuwairi, Second Deputy Speaker Misbah Douma, and Acting Director of the Presidential Affairs Office Mabrouk Amqatif. House spokesman Abdullah Blihaq reported that the meeting addressed ongoing work progress within the House of Representatives.
During this gathering, the Presidency of the House extended an invitation to Central Bank Governor Naji Issa, signaling an intent to involve him in discussions about the draft general budget law. This inclusion highlights the importance of comprehensive dialogue between the legislative body and financial authorities in shaping the country’s fiscal strategy for the coming year.
