Health ministry signs deal to offer medical services for Gaucher patients

The Ministry of Health and Population has signed a memorandum of understanding to offer medical services for patients with Gaucher disease through drug donation and health education programs.

The agreement was signed with the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, the Foundation of Alnas-Lelnas and El Amal (hope) project.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the memo aims to provide high-quality health services through public health facilities and programs supervised by the ministry to meet health needs of Gaucher patients.

He added that the Supreme Council of University Hospitals will provide daily medical care to patients enrolled in the Gaucher Disease Treatment Centers through the enzyme replacement therapy.
