Zwitina: The General Electricity Company (GEC) announced that maintenance teams from the Ajdabiya Ultra-Voltage Line Maintenance Department have successfully completed washing the outlets of the fifth and sixth generating units at the Zwitina power plant, situated within the Ajdabiya 220 kV transformer station, on Tuesday. This operation was conducted in collaboration with the Ajdabiya National Safety Department.
According to Libyan News Agency, the company stated on its official page on Wednesday that this maintenance activity is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and stability of the electricity grid. These efforts are particularly crucial with the approach of the summer season, which typically sees a notable increase in electricity demand.
The company further confirmed that such technical measures are intended to enhance the operational efficiency of the plants and manage the elevated loads that are common during the peak summer months.
