Tazirbu: Large fires erupted in the papyrus palm forests of the Ain al-Talib area in Tazirbu municipality, prompting intensive efforts by Civil Defense teams to contain the blaze. The situation has led the Tazirbu Municipal Council to issue an urgent appeal for assistance from water tanker and bulldozer owners to support the firefighting efforts.
According to Libyan News Agency, the municipal council emphasized the critical need for cooperation to support Civil Defense teams who are working under challenging conditions. The council warned that the fires are rapidly consuming the area and pose a threat to nearby residential zones, urging for immediate action to protect both property and residents as the flames approach homes.
Journalist Khraisi Qashqash highlighted that these fires are part of a series of previous incidents in the region. He stressed the rapid spread of the flames due to inadequate resources, calling for the establishment of a dedicated water collection site. Such a facility would enhance emergency response capabilities and enable Civil Defense teams to efficiently deliver water to firefighting locations.
