Cairo, Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Zimbabwe's counterpart, Emmerson Mnangagwa, have expressed keenness on boosting relations between the two countries.
According to Middle East News Agency (MENA), the two leaders agreed on promoting cooperation in the fields of agriculture and agricultural industrialization projects to benefit from the animal and fish wealth and infrastructure to create development opportunities and ensure food security.
Presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said the Zimbabwean president, who is on a visit to Egypt, hailed the development of relations binding the two countries.
According to the spokesman, the meeting also dealt with means to promote African joint action in light of Egypt's hosting the third edition of the African intra-trade fair.
The two leaders agreed on the importance of intensifying African efforts to ensure economic flexibility in the continent to absorb international shocks and push forward development efforts in the continent.
