Tripoli: The Moral Guidance Department of the Libyan Army organized an awareness lecture this morning entitled "Cybercrime: Between Reality, Challenges, and Mechanisms for Confrontation." This lecture is part of a series of educational lectures conducted by the department for various departments and personnel of the Libyan Army.
According to Libyan News Agency, the lecture was delivered by Dr. Nabil Arara from the Military Prosecutor's Office and attended by the Director of the Electronic Warfare Department, the Assistant Director of the Moral Guidance Department, numerous officers, military personnel from the military establishment, and several members of the Center for Social Studies.
The session addressed the concept of cybercrime and its types, highlighting the reasons for its threat to individuals and institutions, and reviewed the most prevalent cybercrimes.
The lecturer emphasized mechanisms for confronting and preventing cybercrime. He explained ways to reduce these crimes, the importance of digital literacy, mechanisms for reporting cybercrimes, the competent authorities, and the practical steps to follow when experiencing any violation.
This lecture is part of the Moral Guidance Department's efforts to promote legal and digital literacy, raise awareness of cyber risks, and support the readiness of military personnel to face the growing challenges in the digital space.
