Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, announced that the adoption of the “Your Instant Salary” system for managing salaries is a national necessity aimed at protecting public funds and ensuring fairness for real workers in state institutions.
According to Libyan News Agency, Dbaiba noted in a post on the “X” platform that this initiative is part of financial reforms led by the government in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Libya. The reforms aim to achieve transparency and efficiency in spending within the salary category, which makes up approximately 55% of public spending.
The Prime Minister stressed the government’s unwavering commitment to the timely disbursement of salaries. He highlighted that the new system would address the issue of salaries being paid to individuals not performing actual jobs within legal entities, while many genuine employees are still waiting for their first salaries.
Dbaiba emphasized that “Your Instant Salary” will eliminate salary waste and provide broader opportunities for financial releases, marking a significant shift in controlling public spending and ending outdated financial practices.
In his concluding remarks, Dbaiba commended the Central Bank of Libya’s efforts and affirmed the government’s dedication to the initiative’s success. He urged legal entities to promptly and accurately enter their employee data and called on the Audit Bureau and the Administrative Control Authority to support the new system to enhance oversight of employment and spending.
