Al-Lafi and Takala Discuss Political Deadlock Resolution in Tripoli

Tripoli: Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met with the newly elected Chairman of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, in Tripoli on Monday. The meeting comes just days after Takala’s election and focused on addressing the ongoing political stalemate in the country.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council’s media office reported that the discussion between Al-Lafi and Takala centered on advancing efforts to resolve the political impasse. It highlighted the necessity for more effective coordination between the country’s executive and legislative bodies to move forward.

The office also noted that both leaders underscored the importance of collaborative efforts and the integration of roles between their respective councils. This approach is expected to positively influence the political process and help fulfill the Libyan people’s aspirations for stability. The meeting also addressed overcoming challenges that impede progress on critical sovereign and executive matters.
