Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, stressed the importance of the role of notables and sheikhs in supporting social cohesion and spreading the culture of dialogue and reconciliation. This statement was made during a meeting with a delegation of notables, sheikhs, and dignitaries from the Janzor area, west of Tripoli, to discuss the latest political, security, and service developments.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Prime Minister asserted that the government would continue to work in a spirit of partnership with all national forces to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people. He reiterated the government’s commitment to meeting citizens’ needs and improving the level of security and services in all regions. He highlighted the importance of maintaining stability and strengthening social peace given the current situation in the country.
The Janzor delegation expressed its full support for the Government of National Unity, acknowledging its efforts to establish security and stability. They appreciated the government’s role in advancing construction and development, thus fulfilling the aspirations of Libyans across the country. The delegation affirmed its support for the government’s efforts to build the state and strengthen its sovereign institutions, particularly the military and police, which are seen as essential pillars for achieving lasting stability and confronting security challenges.
