Al-Tarabulsi Authorizes Resumption of Libyan Six-a-Side Football League Without Spectators

Tripoli: The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Imad Al-Tarabulsi, has sent a letter to the President of the Libyan Football Federation, granting permission for the Libyan Six-a-side football league competitions to resume starting today, Thursday, but without spectators present. According to Libyan News Agency, the decision outlined in the Minister's letter was made considering "security requirements, and in light of the tensions the country is experiencing during this period." The letter also highlighted that the decision was made after consultation with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba. Last Saturday, Prime Minister Dbaiba directed the Ministry of Interior to permit the continuation of the remaining matches of the six-a-side round of the Libyan Premier League with fans in attendance. He also instructed the Ministry of Interior to implement necessary security measures to ensure the safety of these matches.
