Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, attended a significant graduation ceremony for 700 military intelligence graduates. This marks the completion of the first batch since 2011. The event was also attended by the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Deputy of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office reported that the celebration was graced by the presence of the Chiefs of Staff, the Director of the General Administration of Military Intelligence, Major General Mahmoud Hamza, and several Libyan Army officers. During the ceremony, Dabaiba emphasized that this group of graduates represents a crucial addition to the development of the military institution. He highlighted the urgent need to enhance intelligence capabilities to meet evolving regional and international security challenges.
Dabaiba reiterated the government’s dedication to building a modern and disciplined military institution capable of safeguarding national sovereignty and securing the resources of the Libyan people. The ceremony featured a military parade by the graduates, showcasing their discipline and combat readiness. Additionally, there were field demonstrations that simulated advanced intelligence and security scenarios, reflecting the graduates’ efficiency and ability to perform their duties with professionalism.
The media office also noted that the ceremony included the inauguration of new military and service facilities under the General Directorate of Military Intelligence. These facilities include the Military Intelligence Forum, the Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers’ Hall, an integrated restaurant offering high-standard logistical services, and the Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman Mosque.
This event is part of ongoing efforts to bolster the army’s capabilities and train its personnel to the highest standards, contributing to the consolidation of security and stability in the region.
