Tripoli: Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. 'Salah al-Din Al-Namroush,' met in his office today, Monday, with the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Libya, 'Hanna Tetteh,' and her accompanying delegation to review the outcomes of the Sirte meeting and the latest security developments.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting discussed the outcomes of the meeting held in the city of Sirte, as well as the latest security developments, particularly in the Western Coast Military Region, and ways to support stability and enhance security in a manner that contributes to consolidating calm and protecting citizens and state institutions.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and efforts aimed at supporting stability in Libya and strengthening the institutional track in a manner that serves the national interest.
