Al-Koni offers condolences for death of eight children in explosion of war remnants Taweibia area of Al-Jfara.

Tripoli, Member of Presidential Council Musa Al-Koni offered condolences to the family and the people of Al-Jafara and Libya for death of innocent children who were victims of what he described as ‘waste of miserable adult wars.’

In a tweet posted on his account, Al-Koni expressed ‘heart-felt pain and sadness for loss of children who left us without saying goodbye, without knowing why the remnanats of war had exploded in their midst.’

The Interior Ministry announced that eight children had been killed and other people injured as a result of explosion of war remnants in the Taweibia area of Al-Jfara, south of Tripoli.

The Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the Directorate of Security of Al-Jhofra received a report that there was an explosion at the house of the Al Toumi family in the Area of Taweibia, and that the Police and emergency services rushed to the scene, and it was found that the cause of the explosion was remnants of war since 2014.
