Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Libya, Haidar Aganin, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation and discuss the latest developments in Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry stated on its official page that discussions focused on enhancing and developing cooperation between the two countries across various fields to serve mutual interests and bolster the existing partnership. The meeting also involved an exchange of views on numerous regional and international issues, particularly the latest developments in Libya, efforts to support stability, and initiatives to consolidate security, ultimately aiming for a successful political process that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people.
Both parties underscored the importance of ongoing consultations and coordination on common interests, emphasizing the need to strengthen diplomatic channels to serve mutual interests and support regional stability and cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, they reaffirmed the strength of Libyan-Russian relations and agreed to continue coordination and consultation in the future to enhance cooperation and achieve the common interests of the two nations.
