Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Libya, Ma Xueliang, to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and enhance joint cooperation aimed at serving the mutual interests of both countries and their peoples.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting explored prospects for expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Libya and China. The discussions focused on leveraging Chinese expertise in infrastructure, development, reconstruction, energy, health, education, and training. Both sides expressed encouragement for institutions and the private sector in their respective countries to establish partnerships and strengthen communication.
The dialogue also included regional and international issues of common interest, highlighting the importance of continuous coordination and consultation in international forums. Both parties emphasized their commitment to supporting stability and enhancing cooperation between Libya and China.
The meeting concluded with the Chinese ambassador presenting a commemorative calligraphic plaque to Taher Al-Baour, symbolizing the friendship between Libya and China and acknowledging his efforts to foster and develop bilateral cooperation.
