Tripoli: Significant improvement in fuel supplies and a gradual decrease in congestion at stations: Brega Oil Marketing Company confirmed that fuel supplies have significantly improved compared to the previous period, noting that the current situation is reassuring, with expectations that congestion at gas stations will gradually subside and supply will return to normal.
According to Libyan News Agency, during a press conference on the economic and service situation, Ahmed Al-Maslati, Director of Media and Communication and official spokesperson for the company, stated that disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the repercussions of the global energy crisis contributed to delays in the arrival of some fuel shipments to Libya.
Al-Maslati explained that the decline in production at the Zawiya refinery, due to power outages and security conditions, has temporarily led to a decrease in the quantities available for distribution.
He indicated that the company received 12 fuel tankers out of the 16 scheduled for August, while the remaining tankers are currently in Libyan ports awaiting unloading.
He confirmed that the operations and emergency teams are working around the clock to provide rapid alternatives and address any emergency shortages in the depots, noting that congestion at stations is expected to begin gradually easing starting tonight, with supply returning to normal today, Monday.
