Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic, Sylvie Bapo-Temon, to discuss ways to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation, as well as coordinate positions on a number of regional and continental issues.
According to Libyan News Agency, this meeting took place on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on July 27 and 28. The discussions centered around prospects for expanding cooperation between Libya and the Central African Republic in various areas of mutual interest, serving the interests of both countries and their peoples, and strengthening bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on several issues on the African Union's agenda, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation within joint African frameworks to support efforts for peace, stability, and sustainable development on the continent. Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination between their countries in regional and international forums, reflecting the depth of their fraternal relations and the spirit of African solidarity.
